Description
The 'Ngaluwi' shell drop earrings have been co-designed with Worimi artist Krystal Hurst for the MAARA Collective X Gillawarra Arts exclusive jewellery collaboration 'Land Meets Sea.'
Ngaluwi Story
Ngaluwi means 'waves' in Gathung (the language of the Worimi people). 'Ngaluwi' brought these delicate banded kelp shells to the shore, carrying them from far away to our home on the east coast.
These intricate earrings combine tiny banded kelp shells, hand collected from Country, with classic freshwater pearls to create delicate pieces that invoke imagery of our sacred shores and waterways.
