The 'Garuwa' trinket necklace has been co-designed with Worimi artist Krystal Hurst for the MAARA Collective X Gillawarra Arts exclusive jewellery collaboration 'Land Meets Sea.'
Garuwa means 'ocean' in the Gathung language of the Worimi people, and the ocean is a central element of our lives that has sustained us for thousands upon thousands of years.
A collections of saltwater and freshwater jewels, string onto a delicate sterling silver chain connects you to the sea, allowing you to wear trinkets from Garuwa close to your heart and spirit.
Components: Mother of pearl, banded kelp shells, freshwater pearls
