The 'Garuwa' trinket necklace has been co-designed with Worimi artist Krystal Hurst for the MAARA Collective X Gillawarra Arts exclusive jewellery collaboration 'Land Meets Sea.'
Garuwa means 'ocean' in the Gathung language of the Worimi people, and the ocean is a place where our people collected food, swam and held ceremony.
The Garuwa necklace connects you to the sea at all times.
This trinket style necklace is a collection of delicate banded kelp shells, natural mother of pearl and freshwater pearls, strung onto a fine sterling silver chain. Wear a small collection of Saltwater Country close to your heart and spirit.
